Integrated Project & Change Management

Lead your projects with confidence. Deliver change that sticks.

Most projects don't fail because of bad ideas. They fail because of poor planning, weak sponsorship, and people who weren't prepared for the change. IPCM combines the structure of project management with the people-side of change into one practical framework, so projects get delivered on time and changes actually stick. And it scales. Use the full framework or just the pieces your project needs.

Common Questions

My project is small. Do I really need all of this?

No. Smaller, simpler projects may not need every activity, template, or step. Start with the One-Page Charter and the Sponsor conversation — those two things alone prevent most project problems. If you're unsure what to skip, ask Stu or book office hours and we'll help you right-size it.

I've never managed a project before. Where do I start?

Start at Phase 1: Initiate & Identify. Your first activity is a single meeting with your project Sponsor, and the guide walks you through it step by step — including what to prepare, what to ask, and what you should walk away with.

Do I need to use every template?

No. Templates are tools, not requirements. Each Activity Guide tells you which templates support that activity, and every template page explains when it's worth using. When in doubt, the One-Page Charter is the one document every project should have.

What makes IPCM different from standard project management?

IPCM integrates change management into every phase instead of bolting it on at the end. Alongside the plans and workplans, you're deliberately building awareness, managing resistance, and preparing people — because a project delivered on time that nobody adopts isn't a success.

Can someone help me facilitate or coach me through this?

Yes. The BPMO offers office hours, coaching, workshops, and consulting support at any level — from a quick question to hands-on help leading a complex change. Book office hours to get started.
